WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Speculations- Will Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens square it off inside the ring?

The recently heated confrontations between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Ownes hints a match at the Survivor Series.

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes is hellbent to get his hands on Kevin Owens! The last segment of SmackDown brought the two superstars face-to-face where they exchanged words. Rhodes helping Roman Reigns defeat Solo didn’t go well with Owens. K.O. mocked Cody Rhodes that he helped the person who tried to end his career.

Rhodes retaliated and warned K.O. that he would be taught a lesson for using a banned move. It can either be at the 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames or the Main Event. The officials were present all the time to stop them from laying hands on each other.

Previously, Cody Rhodes had asked the SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis for a match against Owens to avenge Randy Orton. Cody called out Owens after the attack on Orton but GM Aldis came out and informed him that K.O. was suspended. Cody made it clear that Nick won’t be able to keep Owens safe for long.

“If I can’t handle my business in the ring, what do you expect me to do?”, Rhodes said on Friday Night SmackDown. He informed Aldis that he would fight K.O. in his front yard but Aldis won’t want someone representing WWE to do that. Cody ended the segment stating he would not wait for long.

How did the Rhodes-Owens feud start?

Kevin Owen, once an ally of Cody and Randy, turned heels when Cody and the OTC Roman Reigns joined forces to defeat Solo and Jacob Fatu. He attacked Cody backstage which was stopped by the officials and Randy Orton. Cody went towards the ring to confront Owens. However, both were stopped by officials until ‘The Viper’ opted to talk to K.O. in the ring.

Randy Orton tried to stop Kevin who trying to break loose and accidentally punched Randy, who retaliated with a knockout punch to Kevin Owen. This riled up K.O. who thought Randy also betrayed him, attacked Randy backstage, and was stopped by officials again.

Things escalated when Randy went on to confront Kevin Owens in the ring and Owens performed Piledriver on the Viper. The move is banned in WWE for the safety concerns of superstars. Randy was taken out in an Ambulance and Cody went with him. Kevin Owens was suspended from WWE after that.

Given the hatred that is brewing between the former allies, a collision is surely on the cards. The best bet is that Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes will square it off at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.
