WWE SummerSlam: Becky Lynch Retains Her Title Against Lyra Valkyria on Day 2 of SummerSlam

Becky Lynch settles scores against Lyra Valkyria.

Becky Lynch retained her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lyr Valkyria in a match that crossed the limits of brutality. With her victory, Lyra Valkyria is now banned from challenging her again for the Women’s Intercontinental title. She also settled her score against Lyra Valkyria, and both of them have now won two matches against each other.

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria victimized each other in a No Disqualification Match. It was Lyra Valkyria who had to face the most brutalization, as Becky found innovative ways to hurt her. She brutalized her with a Kendo Stick, a Chair, a toolbox, and whatnot. Lyra Valkyria still found ways to come back for more. Becky Lynch stuck Lyra Valkyria inside the chair and brutalized her so badly that Bayley had to intervene and stop her.

Bayley Helps Becky Lynch To Win the Match and Retain Her Title

Bayley assaulted Becky Lynch, but the latter somehow managed to escape. Lyra Valkyria somehow got the strength to put Becky Lynch through the table. Bayley tried to punch Becky Lynch but hit Lyra Valkyria instead. All Becky Lynch had to do was deliver a Man Handle Slam to pin Lyra Valkyria and win the match. This is her second consecutive win over Lyra Valkyria in a singles match.

This match will again reignite the rivalry between Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, as the former can not challenge Becky Lynch for the title again till she is champion. Bayley had a guilty look on her face when Becky Lynch left with the title. The assault Lyra Valkyria went through and still stood up shows her caliber and stamina, but tonight’s assault will not only leave physical bruises.

While Lyra Valkyria can not challenge Becky Lynch for the title till she is Women’s Intercontinental Champion, we might see Bayley going after her and her title.
