Bianca Belair started the Friday Night SmackDown today and acknowledged his home crowd. Calling Tennessee her safe space, she told everyone it’s where she comes when nothing goes her way. The last few months have been tough for EST as she lost her match at WrestleMania, lost her tag team titles, lost her friends, and got injured. She was sharing her feelings with the WWE Universe when Naomi interrupted her.
Naomi asked Bianca for her forgiveness and told her that she went to her house, but no one was there, so she sneaked in. Bianca didn’t appreciate it and warned Naomi that she would face repercussions if she did any such thing again. Naomi didn’t hold back and involved Bianca’s mom in the conversation, stating she would send both her and her mother in wheelchairs.
Naomi Qualifies For The Money In the Bank Ladder Match
Naomi pinned Nia Jax to become the fifth woman to qualify for the ladder match for Money in the Bank after Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez. Nia Jax, Naomi, and Jade Cargill fought hard for the fifth spot in the ladder match at MITB. Each player had a chance to win the match, but the other prevented it. Jade Cargill delivered Jaded to Naomi and was about to score the victory when Naomi broke the pin.
Naomi delivered a super Samoan Drop to Naomi and dominated the match after that. She stacked Naomi over Jade Cargill and set up for an Annihilator, but Naomi moved out of the harm’s way, and Jade Cargill received the full impact of it. Naomi rolled up Nia Jax and pinned her to win the match.
JC Mateo Lays Waste to R-Truth, Wyatt Sicks Annihilate Tag Team Division
R-Truth walked straight into trouble when he challenged JC Mateo for a match. R-Truth tried doing John Cena for a brief moment, but JC Mateo didn’t take long to put down R-Truth. He delivered a Tour of the Islands to him and sealed the match. He then started to assault R-Truth when Jimmy Uso came to the latter’s aid. Solo left the ring, but JC Mateo attacked Jimmy from behind. Solo, however, stopped any further assault on Jimmy.
The Street Profit entered the ring and acknowledged the crowd when Fraxiom entered the ring and asked for a match. MCMG followed them and asked for a match for them as well. DIY were next to follow as they blamed the tag teams for degrading the standards of the tag team division. The lights turned off, and Wyatt Sicks entered. It was all but them after that as they laid waste to each and every member of the tag team division.
Los Garza Defeats Je’Von Evans and Rey Fenix With The Help of Ethan Page
Los Garza, along with Je’Von Evans and Rey Fenix, showcased incredible moves both in and out of the ring. Je’Von Evans, in his debut match on SmackDown, showed why he is a big name on the NXT roster. Rey Fenix and Je’Von never let Los Garza in the match, and it looked like it would be another defeat for Los Garza today.
Los Garza were nowhere near Je’Von and Rey Fenix’s skills, who glided in the air, moved through the ring ropes, and pulled out counters no one could. They would have won the match had they not been attacked by Ethan Page outside. Ethan Page attacked Rey Fenix outside the ring, and while Je’Von neutralized his threat outside, he walked straight into a Garza Bomb, and Los Garza won the match.
Zelina Vega Defeats Alba Fyre After Chelsea Green Knocks Out Piper Niven
Chelsea Green approached Nick Aldis, requesting him to suspend Zelina Vega for injuring her, strip Zelina of her title, and award it to her. Nick Aldis denied and told her that she can ask for a rematch if and when she is medically clear. Chelsea asked for a match between Alba Fyre and Zelina Vega. Alba Fyre initially dominated the match, and just when Zelina Vega was building momentum, Chelsea Green caused a distraction from outside.
Piper Niven took advantage of the distraction to trip Zelina Vega. Chelsea Green tried to injure Zelina Vega by hitting her with the protective mask. Zelina dodged, and Chelsea hit Piper Niven instead. Zelina delivered a Code Red to Alba Fyre to pin her. She won the match despite numerous interruptions from the Secret Hervice.
Damian Priest Throws an Open Challenge for Jacob Fatu
Damian Priest has words of praise for both Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu. He stated that Drew McIntyre and he battled it out for more than a year. He jumped straight to the point after that. He stated that he was on SmackDown to pursue the championship, specifically targeting Jacob Fatu as his goal. He commended Jacob Fatu for being the dominant champion he is and expressed how proud he is of him.
Damian Priest stated that he respects him a lot, but not the people he follows or the ones following him, pointing toward Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo. He let Jacob Fatu know that he was after his title and was leaving the ring when he came face to face with Jacob Fatu. Both of them acknowledged each other, and Damian Priest left the ring.
Solo Sikoa Costs Jacob Fatu Another Match, Andrade Qualifies for MITB
Jacob Fatu, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes fought today in a triple threat for the fifth spot in the Six-Man Ladder Match for the MITB. While Jacob Fatu showcased incredible strength, Andrade showcased his agility. The match reached a near stalemate multiple times, but neither player was able to secure an easy win. Jacob Fatu, while trying a hit attack, went through the barricade.
Jacob Fatu, however, stood tall after that, dominated the match, and delivered an Over the Moonsault to Andrade. He would have gone ahead and pinned him to win the match, but Solo Sikoa asked him to deliver another Over the Moonsault. A distracted Jacob Fatu was thrown out of the ring by Andrade. He then delivered a Hammerlock DDT to Carmelo Hayes and won the match.
Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa had a verbal altercation outside, where Solo told the former that he was trying to help. Jacob Fatu stated that he is telling him for the last time that he doesn’t need his help.
John Cena, Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes, and Jey Uso Brawled Again
Cody Rhodes entered the ring and had some shocking revelations, like he has denied The Rock numerous times, but the offer from him is still on. Does this mean John Cena joining the Rock wasn’t enough? Will Cody accept that offer and join the Rock? Time will tell. He also stated that John Cena already told him he would face the dilemma of being the champion or being good.
Cody acknowledged that he hesitated, and it cost him the championship, so he would never hesitate against him. Jey Uso entered the arena, followed by John Cena and Logan Paul. John Cena called Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso a John Cena wannabe, and Logan Paul mocked them for being Nepo babies. A brawl broke out, and Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes drove John Cena and Logan Paul away.
