WWE aired its last episode of SmackDown before Money in the Bank to start a massive WWE weekend. A star-studded affair started on SmackDown when Seth Rollins entered the ring with his crew. Seth Rollins was showing his authority, stating he would own both Raw and SmackDown once he won the MITB and cashed it in to become the champion.
Solo Sikoa, seeing his authority on SmackDown, entered the ring with JC Mateo and Jacob Fatu. Both Seth Rollins and Solo Sikoa had a verbal altercation, combined with name-calling. Seth Rollins asked his crew to back off and leave the ring. It was a tactical move as Jimmy Uso entered the ring and attacked JC Mateo to seek revenge for costing him the MITB Qualification.
Jimmy Uso Upsets JC Mateo, Solo Calls Jacob Fatu, All Gas and No Brains
Jimmy Uso and JC Mateo fought hard, with the former dominating the match initially, but JC Mateo was quick to cancel out his dominance. JC Mateo then brutalized Jimmy, but the latter is known for taking a beating and still coming for more. Jimmy started countering JC Mateo’s moves and delivered a Samoan Drop on him. Jimmy started building momentum with two SuperKicks and a Spear on JC Mateo.
Jimmy Uso set up for the Uso Splash when Solo Sikoa climbed the ring to distract the officials. While the referee was busy asking Solo to step down, Jacob Fatu climbed into the ring. JC Mateo tried to take advantage of the distraction and attack Big Jim, but he dodged, and the former hit Jacob Fatu. Jimmy rolled up JC Mateo and won the match. JC Mateo was seen telling Jacob Fatu he cost him the match and shouting that he was the problem.
JC Mateo confronted Solo Sikoa outside and asked him whether he would still trust Jacob Fatu after what he did. Solo asked him to forget about him and told him Jacob is not that smart. He quoted Jacob Fatu’s All Gas and No Breaks line and tweaked it, stating that Jacob is literally All Gas and No Brains. It was revealed that Jacob Fatu heard the conversation. Will we witness a rift between the bloodline 2.0?
Zelina Vega Defends Her Title With Help of Giulia But Had to Pay For it
Zelina Vega and Piper Niven fought today in a Bakerfield Brawl match where there were no disqualifications. It seemed Piper Niven would have an advantage in the match given her size and the presence of Secret Hervice by the ring side. Zelina Vega, however, dominated the match like a champion and started a beatdown on Piper Niven using a Kendo Stick. Piper then started dominated the match, but Zelina Vega countered with a DDT.
Zelina Vega then delivered a Code Red from the third rope. Piper rolled out of the ring to escape the pin attempt. The Secret Hervice started an all-out attack on Zelina Vega, but Giulia came to her aid. Zelina Vega delivered a Powerbomb to Piper Niven and won the match. Giulia entered the ring and congratulated her by raising her hand, but then delivered a Northern Light Bomb to her.
LA Knight Paid For Bad-Mouthing Seth Rollins
Aleister Black challenged LA Knight for a match to seek revenge for stealing the former’s MITB qualification chance. Aleister Black proved his mettle by dominating the first half of the match. LA Knight dominated shortly, but given the talent of these superstars, they were able to counter each other’s moves. LA Knight was able to dodge all the Black Mask’s attempts from Aleister Black.
The match would have gone longer had Seth Rollins not punished LA Knight for calling him a dummy. Seth Rollins entered the ring and delivered a Stomp on LA Knight. Bron Breakker delivered a Spear, and Bronson Reed followed it up with a Tsunami. Bron Breakker also delivered a spear to Aleister Black. Seth Rollins surely weakened one of his strong Money in the Bank opponents by brutalizing him.
Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Alexa Bliss Dominated Naomi, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez
Stephanie Vaquer, Rhea Ripley, and Alexa Bliss told everyone why they have dominated their respective division for so long. Stephanie Vaquer is showcasing her talent inside the ring in every match, proving she was a great pick from Adam Pearce and proving herself, a championship material. Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Naomi briefly dominated but then entered Mami and showed everyone why she was the most brutal champion of all time.
Roxanne Perez showcased her talent when she countered a Riptide with a DDT, a move that shocked Rhea Ripley. She was, however, caught between the Rock and three divas who were all eager to get their hands on her. Roxanne tried to tag Naomi in, but Naomi refused and left the ring, leaving Roxanne between three opponents who took a few seconds to floor her. Rhea Ripley delivered a Riptide and finished the match.
Penta And Andrade become Victims After Defeating American Made
There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Andrade and Penta would make a great team. Their moves were so synced that it wasn’t fair for American Made to call them a competition. The American made showed their talent but were soon floored by the team of Andrade and Penta. Even Chad Gable’s interference from outside the ring couldn’t help, although his interruption was neutralized by his WWE Worlds Collide opponent El Hijo Del Vikingo.
Penta and Andrade, however, could celebrate as much as Seth Rollins and his crew laid waste to them to further reduce Seth’s competition for MITB. They already brutalized LA Knight today, and they went after Penta and Andrade like vultures. Andrade received a brutal Spear from Bron Breakker. Penta received a vicious Tsunami. The officials tried to intervene, but Seth Rollins and his crew had caused enough damage till then.
Paul Heyman Delivers a Money In The Bank Spoiler
Paul Heyman heaped praises on Seth Rollins and his crew, calling them the future of the industry. He told everyone that Seth Rollins always delivers on his promises, whether it’s removing Roman Reigns or keeping CM Punk away from glory. He prophesied that Seth Rollins would win the MITB and become the champion for the future of the industry.
John Cena and Logan Paul Brutalized Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes Before Their Tag Team Match
Cody Rhodes and John Cena have had a great history, from admiring each other to becoming each other’s mortal enemy. Cody Rhodes, like always, delivered a killer promo that might have burned John Cena fans if any. John Cena and Logan Paul, however, didn’t like it and attacked both Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes from behind. Logan Paul delivered One Lucky Punch to Jey Uso, and Cody dodged the punch.
Cody Rhodes set up for Cross Rhodes but received a belt to the head from John Cena. It was John Cena and Logan Paul after that who grabbed the opportunity to weaken their MITB opponent for tomorrow.
John Cena then told WWE Universe that the dream WWE that everyone wants will be ruined and told everyone that Logan Paul would be the new Heavyweight Champion. Nobody liked it but that what John Cena is all about right now, pissing fans.
