WWE Raw Result: Gunther faced Otis for the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw

Gunther and Jey Uso came face to face once again on their Road to WrestleMania

The first episode of WWE Raw on Netflix after the Elimination Chamber started with a brawl between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Seth Rollins cost CM Punk his dream of being a Main Event at WrestleMania. He delivered a stomp, which allowed John Cena to capitalize and hold CM Punk in an STF. Both of them were inseparable as the brawl continued for more than 15 minutes, even after the intervention of the officials and security.

Gunther faced Akira Tozawa last week and defeated him. He, however, didn’t stop after his victory and started an assault on Akira Tozawa. Otis came to the latter’s aid but got caught in the sleeperhold. Gunther escaped when Jey Uso entered the ring to save Alpha Academy. Otis faced Gunther to get his revenge on the WWE Heavyweight Champion.

Gunther defeated Otis to defend his World Heavyweight Championship

Gunther defeated Otis in a hard-fought match to defend his title. Otis kept Gunther to the brim and surprised the champ, who called him a clown and a people-pleaser like Jey Uso. He dominated Gunther for most of the match, and it felt like Gunther’s moves had no impact on him. He delivered a caterpillar and went for the Vader Bomb but missed, allowing Gunther to deliver a Powerbomb to him. Gunther pinned Otis and won the match.

Gunther didn’t stop and held Otis in a Sleeper’s Hold. Akira Tozawa entered the ring to the aid of Otis, but Gunther delivered a powerbomb to him over Otis’s lifeless body. Once again, Jey Uso entered the ring to help Alpha Academy and delivered a spear to Gunther. A-Town down under entered and started an assault on Jey Uso, who delivered a superkick to Austin Theory and speared Greyson Waller. Gunther took advantage of the distraction and held Jey Uso in a sleeper hold to end that segment.
