The Indiana Fever completed their five-game seasonal sweep over the Chicago Sky in one of the WNBA results for tonight. The Indianapolis-based franchise, which faced another setback in the form of Caitlin Clark’s latest injury update, recorded a blowout 97-77 win over the Angel Reese-less Sky. On the other hand, the Atlanta Dream continued its dominance, recording a fourth-straight win. Led by Rhyne Howard’s historic three-point prowess, the Dream defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 104-85.

In the third and final game of the night, the reigning champions, New York Liberty put an end to their two-game losing streak to roll past the Seattle Storm in a comfortable victory.

Indiana Fever 97-77 Chicago Sky

The Indiana Fever snapped their two-game losing skid and blew out the Chicago Sky 97-77 on Friday. With this, the Fever completed their five-game sweep over the Sky in the current season. Kelsey Mitchell led the charge with her game-leading performance of 20 points and eight assists. With her performance, she became the fifth player in WNBA history to record 850 points in a season.

Natasha Howard contributed 18 points, seven rebounds, and two assists, shooting 88% from the field. Odyssey Sims dropped 13 points, Aliyah Boston scored 11 points, while Aerial Powers chipped in 10 points.

Following the win, the Fever are 22-20, occupying seventh seed in the standings.

On the other hand, the Sky, who were without Angel Reese due to her one-game suspension, had Michaela Onyenwere and Kamilla Cardoso score 18 points, each. She grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out five assists to become the third player in the history of the franchise to reach 450+ points and 300+ rebounds. Elizabeth Williams dropped 13 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists off the bench, while Ariel Atkins poured in 10 points, one rebound, and one assist.

The Fever got to a powerful start and entered the second period with a 31-15 lead over the rivals. They were 10-of-14 shooting and had 10 assists. They finished with 38 of 73, while the Sky were 25 of 48, both making up for 52%.

Atlanta Dream 104-85 Los Angeles Sparks

The Atlanta Dream extended their winning streak to four games as they took down the Los Angeles Sparks 104-85. Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 37 points, five rebounds, and six assists while shooting 13 of 26 from the field and 9 of 17 from beyond the arc. With this, she became the first player in history to have multiple games with nine 3 pm. She entered the second half with 29 points and seven threes. Howard is now the third player in the league with multiple 25+ points and 5+ 3pm halves.

Maya Caldwell scored 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench, while Brionna Jones chipped in 12 points, nine rebounds, and one assist.

The Sparks, who suffered their second consecutive defeat, were led by Dearica Hamby’s 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Kelsey Plum came up with 20 points, one rebound, and three assists. In addition, Rickea Jackson dropped 17 points and one rebound for the Sparks, who are now 19-22 in the season.

The Dream finished the opening quarter at a 31-24 lead, and maintained their dominance throughout the game. They held the Sparks to 16-of-29 field goals and 6-of-22 three pointers, while posting 38-of-77 field goals and 19-of-39 threes.

New York Liberty 84-76 Seattle Storm

The reigning champions, New York Liberty rolled past the Seattle Storm 84-76 on Friday, bringing an end to their two-game losing streak. Seated in the fifth spot, the Liberty are 24-27 following the win. Breanna Stewart led the winners with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. She recorded her 153rd 20-point games, the fourth all-time highest in the league. Leonie Fiebich dropped 21 points, five rebounds, and one assist while Kennedy Burke poured in 13 points, two rebounds, and two assists.

On the other hand, Nneka Ogwumike led the Storm with 20 points, nine rebounds, and one assist. Skylar Diggins tallied 14 points, two rebounds, and seven assists while Erica Wheeler pitched 12 points, one rebound, and four assists. In addition, Brittney Sykes came up with 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.

The Liberty finished with 30-of-68 from the field, 4-of-20 from beyond the arc, and 12-of-25 from the free-throw line. On the flip side, the Storm were restricted to 27-of-55 from the field 9-of-20 from beyond the arc, and 21-of-23 from the free-throw line.
