Week 13 Sunday Night Football game will feature the runner-ups of last year’s Super Bowl go up against the only team that beat the Chiefs.
With the recently concluded NFL Thanksgiving and Black Friday games, we move on to NFL Sunday Night Football game for week 13. With just 3 games in, this week has already given us some shocking moments. The poor time management from the Bears, Chiefs and Lions extended their record to 11-1 and Bears head coach Matt Eberflus fired– there was plenty to catch up on!
Week 13 Sunday Night Football game will feature the runner-ups of last year’s Super Bowl go up against the only team that has managed to take down the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs. This AFC vs. the NFC classic comes with playoff implications. So, who is playing on Sunday Night Football tonight? Let’s find out!
Week 13 Sunday Night Football game will be played between the San Francisco 49ers (5-6) and the Buffalo Bills (9-2). The Bills are undefeated in home games with a perfect 5-0 this season. Given this another home game for Josh Allen and co, they will be looking to overcome the injury-ridden Niners.
Josh Allen has made a strong case for season MVP after a statement win over rival Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Before the 2018 NFL Draft, Allen mentioned that he has been a Niners fan and it would be a dream come true if he gets to play for them (via the ‘Know them with Adam’ podcast by ESPN’s Adam Schefter).
The first outing and only outing that Josh Allen has against the Niners, he led the scoring with 4 touchdowns as the Bills beat the Niners 34-24.
The San Francisco 49ers have issues of their own to deal with. Plagued by injuries throughout the season, the 49ers have struggled to maintain consistency.
The 49ers are 5-6 entering this week 13 game and are on a 2-game losing streak. On the road, they are 2-3 and given this is an away game, they need to stay cautious. They are currently 4th in the NFC West, a division that has 2 teams at six wins and the other 2 at five. A win here takes them a step closer to clinch the postseason berth.
Bills vs. 49ers Sunday Night Football Location: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, New York.
The Buffalo Bills lead the overall head-to-head against the San Francisco 49ers by 7-6-0. Interestingly, the last game between the two sides was played back on December 7, 2020. The Bills won the game 34-24.
It will be slightly tougher for the Bills, given that tight end Dalton Kincaid has been ruled out of the game due to a knee injury. Wideouts Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper had limited participation in practice.
On the brighter side of things, the Bills have activated former All-Pro LB Matt Milano from the injury reserve list. This will be Milano’s first game in 420 days.
For the 49ers, good news comes in the form of QB1 Brock Purdy. After being listed as questionable due to shoulder soreness, Purdy experienced no setbacks on Friday and Saturday and is expected to feature in the SNF game vs. the Bills.
But there are plenty of stars who are ruled out of the game vs. the Bills. DL Nick Bosa, OL Aaron Banks, LB Dre Greenlaw, DL Jordan Elliot, DB Deommodore Lenoir and OT Trent Williams have been ruled out. Given the number of injuries they have and the form the Bills are in, it will be a tall task for the Niners to conquer the Buffalo Bills.
