Marquise Brown's shoulder recovery progresses, raising hopes for his return to the Chiefs' lineup before the regular season concludes
The Kansas City Chiefs offense will soon receive additional assistance. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, the dynamic wide receiver who was one of the top signings of the 2024 offseason, is anticipated to return shortly from his preseason shoulder injury. Insiders suggest he will likely see action before the conclusion of the regular season.
Sources state that Brown is scheduled to meet with his surgeon in Week 15 for possible final approval. If everything progresses smoothly, he should return to the practice field at that time and may even be able to participate in games in Weeks 16 or 17.
Help is on the way for the playoff-bound #Chiefs, as WR Hollywood Brown (SC joint) has an appointment in Week 15 with his surgeon for final clearance, sources say, one that likely allows him to play in Week 16 or 17.

The Chiefs added Brown to their roster in March, banking on him becoming their top wide receiver this season. However, he hurt his shoulder during the preseason and has not participated in any games since then. If he is fully healthy and understands his position in the Chiefs’ offense, he could greatly help Kansas City in the playoffs.
The Chiefs have secured a spot in the playoffs, so they don’t need to hurry Brown or any other injured player back, but they are aiming for better health come playoff time than they’ve had all season.
Due to Brown and Rashee Rice’s injuries, the Chiefs are without their anticipated top two wide receivers. Rice is not anticipated to return until the following season, but including Brown in the group of DeAndre Hopkins, Xavier Worthy, and JuJu Smith-Schuster would provide Patrick Mahomes with numerous weapons for the playoffs.
Andy Reid faces a dilemma following the Kansas City Chiefs securing a playoff berth by defeating the Las Vegas Raiders. The offensive line is having a difficult time shielding Patrick Mahomes.
Over the past two games, the top quarterback has been tackled nine times and this is a significant concern as he is nursing an ankle injury, especially with tough opponents like the Chargers, Steelers, and Broncos coming up in the schedule.
“Wanya, he was struggling a little bit. So, I moved Joe over there and Mike Caliendo at guard. I thought it was the right thing to do at that time. I talked to Andy (Heck) about it. He agreed with it. So, we made that move just to solidify things. Pat took a few hits there. So, we were struggling at times.”
Currently, in a highly contested discussion within the NFL, Reid openly acknowledged that the left tackle role poses a significant challenge. On the journey to another Super Bowl, something must be different.

nhl I’ve always loved writing and storytelling, and hockey gives me a perfect stage for endless stories to tell. Whether it’s breaking down a game, analyzing a big trade, or capturing the emotions on the ice, I bring the NHL to life through words. So what’s the best part you ask? Watching the action unfold and turning it into something fans can connect with. To my readers: Hockey is more than just a game—it’s the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that make us jump off our seats. So, keep cheering, keep debating, and never stop loving the madness of the sport!
