Day 2 of the draft will feature rounds 2 and 3
The NFL draft is a long three-day process that starts on a Thursday and ends on a Saturday in the United States. Day 1 of this year’s draft is already in the books with former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward becoming the number one overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft.
Day 1 saw some exciting picks, a few trades, and most importantly, a lot of happy cheeseheads who got their wish as the host city selected a wide receiver in the first round.
Day 2 of the NFL draft will start at 7:00 p.m. ET. That is an earlier start time from the previous day, as day 2 consists of two rounds as opposed to just the single round on the first day.
While each team gets 10 minutes to hand in their selection for round 1, the time limit decreases for rounds 2 and 3. During round 2, teams get a total of 7 minutes to make their selections, and in round three, that comes down to 5 minutes per team.

Day 2 action for rounds 2 and 3 will be available on the NFL Network, ABC, ESPN, and ESPN Deportes TV channels. Live streaming can also be found on NFL+ and Fubo. On the off chance that you are in Green Bay, Wisconsin, head on over to Lambeau Field and its adjacent areas, where you can catch all the action live.
One name that may surprise many on this list is that of Shedeur Sanders who remains without a team after the end of the first day of the draft. Sanders was projected to be a first-round draft pick with the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and the Pittsburgh Steelers all linked to him in the first round. However, he never heard his name being called and now waits in the wings for day 2.
Apart from Sanders, other notable names include Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, LSU tight end Mason Taylor, Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III, Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson, South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori, Boston College edge Donovan Ezeiruaku, among others.

nfl I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
