What Time Do England Play Today? England World Cup Qualifiers Fixture Today, England Match Start Time and TV Channel

Moumita Dutta

Both teams are coming off wins in their opening games.

After a comfortable win against Albania in their opening UEFA World Cup 2026 Qualifying match, England will play their second fixture of the month at home against Latvia. With both teams coming off wins in their opening games, the result of Monday’s match at Wembley Stadium could see England take the lead at the top of the table.

In the first match, the 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly made history when he scored the first goal of the match and became England’s youngest-ever goalscorer on debut. Captain Harry Kane added the second and brought his international goal tally to 70. However, England’s second-half display was far from impressive.

After beginning his tenure with a win, Thomas Tuchel extended England’s unbeaten run in World Cup qualifiers to 32 matches. He will look to build on that win in their second match. However, Latvia, seeking their first-ever World Cup qualification as an independent nation, will not make it easy for the Three Lions.

Who Are England Playing Today?

In a first-ever clash with each other, the England team will take on Latvia, who made a similar strong start as England to their campaign, winning their opener against Andorra by a narrow 1-0 margin. They may be the underdogs coming into this match, but they showed resilience against Andorra.

Looking at their World Cup qualifiers away records, they have the ability to churn out results. In their last two World Cup qualifiers on the road back in 2021, they won one against Gibraltar and held Norway to a goalless draw. They may be resilient but don’t have any ace to depend on.
