What Draft Picks Do the Los Angeles Chargers Have in 2025? All Los Angeles Chargers 2025 NFL Draft Picks per Round

Chargers rebuild to continue with long list of draft picks this year!

The Los Angeles Chargers haven’t gone past the Wild Card round since 2018. In fact, the team has made only two postseason appearances in the last 6 seasons with one of them coming in 2024. The franchise has struggled to be consistent even in the AFC West which has been dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs of late. However, by the end of last season, the Chargers were looking like a much better team.

The 2025 season will be the second season for Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh has a tendency to turn teams around. After joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2011, he took a 6-10 team from the previous season to three continuous postseasons including one Super Bowl appearance. Prior to joining the Chargers, he had just won the CFP National Championship with the Michigan Wolverines.

This year it feels like the Chargers could build on the foundation of last year. But going deeper into the playoffs may still take some more time. However, if they can find the right pieces in the draft then there is no telling how far they could go.

What Are the Chargers’ Draft Picks in 2025?

The Chargers are one of those teams that have an abundance of picks in this year’s draft. In fact, they have a total of 10 selections. With the exception of round 6, the Chargers will be drafting once every round. Round 6 will be the busiest one for them as they have 4 picks to select. Their first-round pick is number 22 overall.

Positional Needs for the Chargers

Two of the most important positions the Chargers need to fill are on the offense. They could use both a tight end as well as a wide receiver to help Justin Herbert run the offense more comfortably. Although they re-signed wideout Mike Williams and saw better production from second-year receiver Quentin Johnston, another solid receiver paired up with last year’s rookie Ladd McConkey would be a huge step forward. Similarly, a good pass-catching tight end is also a need of the hour.

On defense, the Chargers could use reinforcements on the defensive line, more specifically defensive tackle. Another position on defense to go after is the edge. Having let Joey Bosa leave in free agency, they could use a good edge rusher alongside the aging Khalil Mack.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
