The Golden State Warriors are set to host the Denver Nuggets in another anticipated clash on Monday, March 17. The Warriors are on a seven-match winning streak. In their last match, they took down the New York Knicks 97-94 in a fierce fixture.

On the other hand, the Nuggets are coming on the back of a close 126-123 loss against the Wizards. Having lost five of their last ten games, they will aim to get back on their winning momentum.

Stephen Curry has been a guiding force for the Warriors all throughout the season. In their last seven wins, the two-time All-Star MVP has averaged 26.3 points, 5.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds. Despite being 37 years old, he has been creating new records daily, including 4,000 career three-pointers.

Curry has played 58 games this season, and is averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. In the last game against the Knicks, he led the side with 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists. He was shooting 8/20 from the field and 4/13 from the three-pointer line.

Will Stephen Curry Play Tonight?

As the Warriors aim to host the Nuggets a night after the Knicks game, Curry has been listed questionable due to lower back strain. As per Anthony Slater, “Steph Curry is questionable vs Nuggets tomorrow night with a lower back strain. He’s had a heat pack on it during the last couple games.”

He added, “Warriors face Bucks on Tuesday. Quinten Post also questionable with ankle soreness.”

Apart from them, Brandin Podziemski will miss action on Monday with bilateral low back strain.

While the Warriors have finally managed to get back on track right in time, they would want Curry to return as soon as possible. If Curry doesn’t step in to play, Jimmy Butler will be expected to shoulder scoring responsibility for his side.

Notably, the former Miami Heat star is averaging 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game for the Dubs. The Warriors are 14-1 with him in the lineup.
