Warriors’ Stephen Curry becomes first active NBA player to take NCAA administrative role

The Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry has been breaking records left and right in NBA. Recently, Curry also achieved 25k career-points and was the second fastest guard to achieve it. However, the recent news comes from off-field activities as Curry goes back to his alma mater.

According to Shams Charania, Stephen Curry has accepted a role to become the new assistant general manager for his alma mater, Davidson College. In doing so, Curry becomes the first player in U.S major pro sports to take an administrative job with NCAA team.

Davidson Wildcats have been struggling and have a under .500 record in their last three seasons. Their last NCAA appearance came in 2022, which lasted short as they were eliminated in the first-round.

Wildcats’ best ever season came in 2007-08, led by none other than Stephen Curry. The team remained unbeaten in the conference and finished with a 20-0 conference record. They also went on to make the Elite-Eight in the NCAA tournament which is the best ever record in their history.
