Cooper Flagg Caps Regular Season as Duke’s Leader in Every Major Stat

The Duke Blue Devils had one of the best regular seasons in history. The team finished with a 28-3 overall record and also recorded most ever conference wins in their history. The Blue Devils star, Cooper Flagg has been enormous in team’s success in the regular season and is favorite for the National Player of the Year title.

Cooper Flagg exceeded expectations with his all-round gameplay. NBA teams have been heavily tanking for Duke’s star, who is considered as one of the most complete prospect in the coming years. Flagg leads Duke in every major stat category such as points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game. He is also shooting 49.4% from the field.

According to Stathead, this is only the third instance in Duke’s history where a player has averaged more or equal than 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, one blocks, one steal per game throughout the regular season. Only Grant Hill in (1993-94) and Chris Carrawell (1990-00) have done it before.

Duke is seeded one and will play in the ACC tournament from the quarter-finals stage. They will face the winner of Georgia Tech and Louisiana on March 13. With Flagg in full flow, the Blue Devils are favorites for the ACC tournament victory.

Duke wins their 21st ACC regular season title

Duke secured the ACC regular season title with a win against their arch-rivals, North Carolina. Cooper Flagg led Duke finished with their third best conference record and accumulated the most conference wins in their history. This marks their second regular season championship in the last 10 years, following their 2022 win.

The Blue Devils enter the ACC Tournament as favorites and have a chance to win the double. The last time they won the regular season and tournament in the same season was 2010.
