UFC Results Last Night – Vegas Main Event spoiled As Maycee Barber Withdraws, Gamrot Calls Out Benoit Saint Denis And More

Get to know the winners and losers of main event and the preliminary event of UFC Vegas 107!

The UFC APEX in Las Vegas has become a second home for these weekly spectacles. It has hosted countless memorable battles since its debut during the pandemic era. Last night’s UFC Vegas 107 fight card promised fireworks with two top flyweight contenders headlining the show.

Unfortunately, the mixed martial arts gods had other plans for UFC Vegas 107 on May 31st. What started as an exciting evening of fights took an unexpected turn when the main event got scrapped at the last minute. Maycee Barber failed her medical clearance just before walking to the octagon, leaving fans and Erin Blanchfield equally disappointed. But the rest of the card delivered plenty of action to keep everyone entertained throughout the night.

UFC Vegas 107 Main Card Results

The co-main event saved the day as Mateusz Gamrot reminded everyone why he is a perennial contender at lightweight. The Polish veteran completely dominated Ludovit Klein across three rounds, winning every single round on all three judges’ scorecards. Gamrot’s wrestling proved too much for Klein. The 34-year-old Gamrot used his experience to control the pace and positioning from start to finish.

Ramiz Brahimaj continued his hot streak with another first-round finish, this time submitting Billy Ray Goff with a slick guillotine choke. The welterweight has found his groove after contemplating retirement just a few years ago. His back-to-back finishes show what happens when a fighter finally puts all the pieces together. Brahimaj’s transition from a ninja choke to a high-elbow guillotine was smooth as silk. Dustin Jacoby kept the knockout train rolling with a devastating first-round finish of Bruno Lopes. He hurt his opponent early with a stiff jab before unleashing a barrage against the cage. At 37 years old, Jacoby proves that experience and timing can make up for lost youth.

The bantamweight clash between Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiasson provided some controversy before the first bell even rang. Vieira missed weight during the week, forcing the bout to move up to featherweight. Despite the weight issues, the Brazilian controlled most of the fight with superior grappling and ground control. Chiasson showed heart but couldn’t find enough offense from her back to steal rounds from the judges.

Zachary Reese grinded his way to a decision victory. Reese consistently landed the cleaner, higher-volume strikes, while Dusko Todorovic threatened with submissions in the first round and securing control time in the second. In a closely contested third, both fighters pushed hard, aware the fight was up for grabs. Ultimately, the judges awarded the decision to Reese.

UFC Vegas 107 Preliminary Card Results

The preliminary card featured several fighters looking to make their mark in the UFC. Allan Nascimento edged out Jafel Filho in an all-Brazilian flyweight battle that went the distance. Both men showed excellent grappling skills, but Nascimento’s late-round adjustments helped him secure the victory. Jordan Leavitt made the most of his return after an 18-month layoff. He needed less than two minutes to submit Kurt Holobaugh with a deep anaconda choke. Leavitt’s grappling looked sharp despite the long break from competition. His celebration afterward showed just how much this victory meant to him personally.

Bolaji Oki bounced back with a decision win over short-notice replacement Michael Aswell. The Dana White’s Contender Series graduate used his physical advantages to control the fight as it progressed. Alice Ardelean opened the show with an entertaining decision victory over Rayanne dos Santos. Both strawweights came out swinging from the opening bell, giving fans exactly what they wanted to start the evening.
