The Philadelphia 76ers have struggled throughout the season and posted a 15-21 through 36 games. Regular injuries also hurt their campaign but most importantly, the Sixers couldn’t get an impact with their current roaster including Paul George.
Philadelphia’s starting center Joel Embiid and backup center Andre Drummond are injured. Nick Nurse deployed Paul George in the paint rather than his usual position at the wing against the New Orleans.
George was asked to discuss his new position after the 123-115 loss to the Pelicans and the 76ers star said, “It’s different. I’m used to scrapping and running around and chasing, fighting. Paul George talked about playing center that are sure to raise Philadelphia fan’s eyebrows. The 34-year-old is not thrilled playing center in Nick Nurse’s lineups.

Meanwhile, Paul George didn’t question the adaptability of the team due to injuries. The nine-team NBA All-Star acknowledged Nick Nurse for considering him a versatile player and playing him in the center position.
Nick Nurse has struggled to figure out the best lineup due to regular injuries. Paul George, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are the top three key players for the Sixers but all players have dealt with injury issues this season. Philadelphia haven’t played many games with all three in the lineup.
George has played 25 games for the 76ers and clocked over 32 minutes per game. The NBA All-Star is averaging 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game. His points per game are his lowest in the past nine seasons. Paul George is shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from the three-point line. These numbers are also his lowest in the past few seasons.
