Nothing is going great for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA as their star player, Joel Embiid, sustained yet another injury in the middle of the game. The Sixers center left the court against the Indiana Pacers during the second quarter of the game after taking a blow in the face while going for a defensive rebound.

Embiid was playing against Bennedict Mathurin when he caught an errant forearm and elbow to his nose. The 76ers star fell to the ground and later went to the bench, holding his face. Andre Drummond started in his place.
The franchise later confirmed that Embiid would play no part in the remainder of the game due to an “impact to the right side of the face” and said he would undergo further testing.

After the game, the Sixers have provided a fresh update on Joel Embiid’s injury. According to the report, Embiid suffered a sinus fracture in tonight’s game. The 30-year-old center will be further evaluated this weekend.

Embiid recently had a swelling in his left knee, and later, he faced a three-game suspension for a physical incident with a reporter. Out of 22 fixtures, Embiid missed out on a total of 17 matches in the regular season.
