Sixers’ Joel Embiid to miss Sunday’s game vs. Clippers with swelling in knee

Joel Embiid only managed to play four games out of 15 games due to injury and off-field controversies.

The Philadelphia 76ers suffer a huge blow as Joel Embiid will be left out of the squad for Sunday’s game vs the Clippers due to a knee injury. The trouble for Joel Embiid increases further as he suffers from swelling in his knee. After the medical consultation team deemed him unfit, he was left out of the last game.

The 76ers have already lost the four games he played. He missed many weeks due to the suspension he received for his altercation with the reporter. The former MVP shoved the reporter in the locker room for writing about his son and late brother. He is being called out for regularly being late by Tyrese Maxey. He alleged that his tardiness impacts both the team and coaches.

The 2023 NBA Most Valued Player has had a dream run in the NBA. He is a two-time scoring champion in 2022 and 2023 and 7 times NBA All-Star for 7 consecutive years from 2018-2024. He helped the United States team win gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Philadelphia 76ers this season

The Philadelphia 76ers are having the worst season as they have played 15 games and managed to win only 3. The team and management have to figure out a way of keeping their hopes alive for the postseason.

With Embiid gone, the 76ers find themselves between a rock and a hard place. They have already lost Paul George to an injury while hyperextending his left knee. It is not impossible but it is going to be tough for them to keep their playoff contentions alive.
