Philadelphia are 2-11 through 13 games this season and it's too early to panic.
The Philadelphia 76ers fell to 2-11 on the season after losing to the Miami Heat 106-89 Monday night in an NBA Regular Season game. Sixers have joined hands with Washington Wizard to post a worst record in the NBA. It’s an embarrassing feat for the 76ers and it could be worse in upcoming days.

Miami were also bit sloppy in the first quarter and they committed four turnovers in less than three minutes to play. Sixers had potential chance and they caught a 19-point advantage going into the second half. Miami narrowed the deficit in the second quarter by scoring six points in final six minutes. This is from where the narrative slipped from Sixers’ hands.
In the opening half, Philadelphia attempted 25 three-point shots and only three free throws. Miami dropped 35-16 in the third quarter, thanks to Jimmy and Tyler. From 27-46 during the second quarter to 88-72 heading into the fourth, Miami pulled off a great comeback.
Jared McCain scored 20 points for the fifth straight game. Paul George posted 18 points on 5-for-13 shooting, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jimmy Butler shined for the Heat with a 30-point performance with 10 rebounds. Tyler Herro paced Miami in the third quarter and helped to open the lead. He poured in 18 points and his 16 points came in the third quarter.

Joel Embiid was not up to the mark for the Sixers as he scored 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one block while shooting 5/11 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time. It was the first time in Joel Embiid’s career he has played 25+ minutes and not attempted a free-throw. It was also the first time since 2018, Embiid walked out without attempting three throw in a game.

Meanwhile, 76ers are a shaky NBA team with or without Embiid. He was just playing his third game and Philadelphia lost all of them. Embiid is playing his ninth season for 76ers and he didn’t expect this performance when team is down 10-2 in regular season.
The roaster is quite different from the last season for the Philadelphia. Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. are good names in the squad for 2024-25. More than half of the roaster is new and they will take time to settle in the system.
We can make trust on Kyle Lowry, Ricky Council IV and KJ Martin but what about others? The Sixers have to find out the answers before going late. Philadelphia are 2-11 through 13 games this season and it’s too early to panic.
One fact will surprise Sixers fans as Nurse’s first season with Philadelphia, they didn’t lose their 11th game until January 5. This season, it already came in the mid-November. As they prepare for their upcoming match against Memphis Grizzlies, Embiid could still be pivotal for their performance.
