Guardiola Praises High Standards Despite Club World Cup Exit

Manchester City scored 13 goals in three games of the Group Stage to qualify for the knockouts. Facing Al-Hilal who finished below Real Madrid in Group H, Guardiola and his side went ahead in the first 10 minutes as Bernardo Silva opened the scoring.

Guardiola expressed how he felt everything was clicking in the competition up until this point. The Cityzens’ manager reflected on the exit from the Club World Cup by saying:

“We were happy here, but the levels are so high.”

“It’s a pity. We were in such a good place, they had given everything. We go home and now it’s time to rest and refresh our minds and come back next season.”
