While there are some players that the Eagles definitely want because of their Super Bowl run last season, there are some players that the Eagles are potentially saying goodbye to and one of them is Dallas Goedert.
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed tight end, Dallas Goedert, on the trade block and are seeking at least a 4th-round pick in exchange for him. Goedert was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft and had spent 7 seasons with the team. Last season, Goedert had 496 receiving yards, caught 42 passes, and had 2 receiving touchdowns. While he’s not a bad player, Goedert may have already hit the ceiling in terms of his potential.
Various sources also tell us that, the reason why the Eagles listed Goedert on the trade block is because of his age, injury history, and a potential high market value he may command during the free agency in 2026.

Goedert, who is 30 years old, had signed a 4-year $57 Million rookie-extension deal with the Eagles back in 2021. He is entering the final year of his contract which is set to have a $12.06 million cap hit in 2025.
It is quite possible that the Philadelphia Eagles will have to take in some of Goedert’s remaining salary to facilitate a trade.
