Teoscar Hernandez leaves Dodgers' win with hamstring tightness.
The Los Angeles Dodgers may be facing a blow to their red-hot offense after Teoscar Hernandez exited Monday night’s 7-4 win over the Miami Marlins with tightness in his left hamstring. The outfielder is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the issue.

Hernandez had already made his presence felt before leaving the game, opening the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and following that up with a single in the third. But trouble emerged after a running catch in the right-center gap on a ball hit by Javier Sanoja, a play manager Dave Roberts said triggered the initial tightness.
The 31-year-old did not take the field for the fourth inning, with Chris Taylor stepping in as his replacement. Roberts confirmed postgame that the team is weighing a call-up from the minors if Hernandez requires time on the injured list.

Hernandez entered Monday as the team’s home run leader with nine, a number that Shohei Ohtani tied later in the game with a two-run blast. Through 35 games this season, Hernandez has been a major catalyst in the Dodgers’ lineup, slashing .315/.933 with 34 RBIs and 10 doubles.
His potential absence could open the door for increased at-bats for utility man Enrique Hernandez, as well as outfielder Michael Conforto. Taylor, who filled in during Monday’s game, is also likely to see more time in the outfield rotation.
No official timeline has yet been provided for Teoscar Hernandez’s absence. An MRI will make things a lot more clear, but an IL stint is not entirely off the table.

The Dodgers improved to 24-11 with the win, maintaining their edge atop the National League West. Both the Padres and Giants remain within striking distance, trailing by fewer than two games heading into Monday’s slate.
