Stephen Curry Injury Update: Steph Curry Traveling to Miami, but Availability for Heat vs. Warriors Remains in Doubt

The Golden State Warriors will clash against the Miami Heat on the road on Tuesday, March 25. They began their road trip with a 124-115 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, marking their second defeat in last ten games. While Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody combined 65 points, the Dubs missed their superstar Stephen Curry, who was out with an injury.

Curry suffered a pelvic contusion during the Warriors’ 117-114 win over the Raptors. The incident occurred during the third quarter when he landed hard on his tailbone and crashed on the floor. He remained there for a few moments before being taken to the locker room.

Following the injury, the Warriors revealed that Curry underwent an MRI. It indicated him suffering a pelvic contusion but no structural damage. In their release, the Dubs also stated that Curry would not travel to Atlanta and would undergo a re-evaluation on Monday.

Steph Curry to travel to Miami

Now, as per the latest reports by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the 37-year-old will now join the side in Miami as they take on the Heat on Tuesday. Charania added that Curry’s playing status will depend on how he responds to the injury in the next two days.

“Stephen Curry is traveling to join the Warriors in Miami, and his status for Tuesday’s game against the Heat depends on treatment response for his pelvic bruise over next two days, sources tell ESPN. Golden State is on game two of a six-game trip,” the NBA insider reported.

Curry has been a guiding force for the Warriors ever since the beginning of the season. While he shouldered team’s responsibility alone for most of the time, Curry was joined by Jimmy Butler following the trade. The four-time NBA champion is leading the Dubs with an average of 24.1 points per game. He is averaging 4.3 rebounds, and 6 assists in 60 games in 2024-25.
