Curry was ruled out of the Thursday contest with a pelvic contusion. The 11-time All-Star was able to stand up and get to the locker room. Curry went to the tunnel to determine whether he’d be able to return.
Before leaving the court in third quarter, the veteran star scored 17 points, including two rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 6/8 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in his first 25 minutes of playing time.

Stephen Curry underwent an MRI late Thursday night after leaving the game after an injury in San Francisco. Golden State announced on Friday that an MRI on Curry’s pelvic area confirmed a contusion but no structural damage.
The two-time MVP will not travel with the Warriors for their six-game road trip. The veteran guard will be re-evaluated on Monday. He will be questionable for the next matchup against the Atlanta Hawks on Mar. 22.

According to Dr. Nirav Pandya, M.D., Professor of UCSF Orthopedic Surgery, “There is no defined timeline for a return to play. Assuming there is no larger structural injury, it can be as quick as a few days to sometimes as long as a few weeks. It’s about how quickly an athlete has pain relief and can perform basketball activities.”
Despite the absence of Curry, the Warriors squeezed past the Raptors 117-114 on Thursday night. Jimmy Butler dropped a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. Draymond Green scored a team-high 21 points and seven rebounds while Brandin Podziemski added 15.
Golden State has improved to 41-29 after a second straight game. The Dubs will be on a six-game road trip and with 12 games remaining in the regular season, Curry’s absence might hurt Steve Kerr in pursuit of the NBA playoffs.
