‘I Dominated Leon Every Round’ – Sean Brady Responds to Belal Muhammad After Beating Latest Win

There was a lot of anticipation going into the Sean Brady vs Leon Edwards fight. Many including us believed that Edwards had a great chance to beat Brady and challenge Belal Muhammad for the title again. After all the fight took place at the O2 Arena in UK, (Edwards’ home country) and Edwards had claimed that he wasn’t a 100% ready to take on Muhammad at UFC 304.

The former welterweight champ wouldn’t lose the bout on his soil right? Well as it turns out Edwards was not only taken down, but he was also finished in front of his home fans. Brady handed Edwards his first submission loss of his career and the Brit looked like a former shell of himself. With this loss, Edwards is now on a losing streak which has never happened before in his career. The more we look at Edwards, the more we’re thinking about if he can ever get back to his glory days again.

Meanwhile for Brady, this was arguably the toughest fight he had to take on so far, but he prevailed and let the world know that he’s got next. He was a underdog going into the fight and Leon was the favorite. Despite all the odd makers going against the American, he proved that he can just about fight anybody in his division. The mounted Guillotine that we saw in round 4 of the fight against Edwards, was executed perfectly.

Prior to the fight, Belal Muhammad had predicted that Brady would beat Edwards and that is exactly how it played out. Not only that but Brady took the former champ out the exact way Muhammad did at UFC 304, by taking Edwards to the ground. The Brit, as displayed in his last two fights, clearly lacks ground game and defense, and Muhammad sort of handed out the blueprint to beating him. So Brady just copied what the current champ did and modified it a little by making Edwards tap out.

This led Belal to send out a tweet during the fight which said “Sean copied my homework.” After the fight against Edwards, Brady responded to tweet and this is what he said.

What Did Sean Brady Say in Response to Belal Muhammad?

When Brady was asked about the tweet from Belal, which said “Sean copied my homework,” he responded saying,

“I think I did a lot better than Belal did. I think Belal lost a couple of rounds. He had his back taken for an entire round. I think it was what 3-2 when they fought. I dominated Leon every round. No one’s ever did it like me, and then I submitted him. And made him quit in front of his hometown… You ain’t making me quit in front of my hometown, I’ll tell you that. I’m going to sleep so just remember that.”

Even though Muhammad laid out the groundwork, Brady just did a way better job on Edwards then the champ did. He dominated the fight and handed out Edwards his first submission loss in his MMA career. So in our opinion, Brady fought Edwards quite a lot better than Muhammad did at UFC 304. However, despite the win, we also need to remember that Muhammad handed Brady his first and only loss in his MMA career and it was Muhammad who finished him in the fight. So if the two fight sometime in the future, for the belt, Brady will not have an easy time like he did with Edwards.
