Detroit is currently missing goalie Alex Lyon due to a lower-body injury. He was assigned to injured reserve on Monday, backdated to Nov. 27, and Sebastian Cossa was brought up from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League under emergency provisions.
“No report yet, but it was obviously lower body and he had to pull himself from the game, so we’ll get a better feel probably later tonight into tomorrow,” Lalonde stated regarding Talbot after Sunday’s game.
Lyon has a record of 4-4-0, featuring a 2.74 GAA and .911 save percentage across nine games (eight of which were starts) this season. His most recent game was on Nov. 25, a 4-2 victory against the New York Islanders.
Husso was summoned from Grand Rapids on Friday. He has a record of 0-2-1 with a 4.90 GAA and .818 save rate in three games with the Red Wings; he holds a 4-0-0 record with a 1.58 GAA and .944 save rate in five AHL matches.
