A look at how much players will earn at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships

Just yesterday, the curtains closed on the 2025 French Open, and already, the grass-court season is springing to life. The transition from clay to grass begins with the WTA Queen’s Club Championships, a key Wimbledon warm-up event. The women’s main draw kicks off today, June 9, and will run through June 15, followed by the ATP edition from June 16 to 22.

The Queen’s Club, steeped in history, dates back nearly 140 years to 1886, named in honor of Queen Victoria. This year marks the 122nd edition for the ATP and only the 82nd for the WTA. Highlighting a 52-year gap, as the women’s event was discontinued in 1973 and will be making a comeback at this iconic London venue this year.

Tommy Paul enters as the men’s defending champion, having upset Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets last year, clinching it with a second-set tiebreak. On the women’s side, there’s no defending champion to speak of, unless you count Olga Morozova, who won the title in 1973 at age 24. She’s now 76 and, needless to say, not quite in the draw this year.

What Is the Prize Money for the Queen’s Club Championship 2025?

The men’s prize money at Queen’s stands at €2.5 million ($2.87 million), while the women will compete for $1.4 million, the highest purse for a WTA 500 event of this draw size.

The ATP champion will take home €471,555, marking an 11.8% increase from what last year’s winner, Tommy Paul, received. The runner-up earns €253,790. On the women’s side, the champion pockets $164,000, with $101,000 going to the finalist.

While a noticeable disparity still exists between the men’s and women’s prize pools, the points awarded remain the same: 500 for the winner and 325 for the runner-up.

Encouragingly, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has announced plans to close the pay gap entirely by 2029, ensuring equal prize money for both tours for the Queen’s Club Championship.

British icon Andy Murray, one of the sport’s revered Big 4, holds the record with five singles titles at Queen’s, more than any other player. In recognition of his legacy, the club renamed its main court “The Andy Murray Arena.”
