Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner played out one of the most iconic Grand Slam finals in the history of our game on Sunday. Having started the match around lunch time, the duo fought toe-to-toe for 5 hours 29 minutes and completed the slugfest well past supper. In the end, it was the Spanish showstopper who emerged victorious 4-6 6-7(4) 6-4 7-6(3) 7-6(10-2) in one of the greatest comebacks of all-time.

Fans on the Court Philippe-Chatrier could not believe their eyes. Alcaraz was down by two sets when he began a major fight back. In the fourth set however, the World No. 2 found himself on the brink of heartbreak – he was down 3-5 0-40 on his serve. This is when the Spanish mentality kicked in, and he stayed in the present to nullify three championship points. The rest, as they say, is history!

The victory improves Alcaraz’s head-to-head record against his Italian counterpart to 8-4, including five consecutive wins. He resultantly became just the fourth player in the 21st century to win Grand Slam titles for four successive years – after the Big-3. French Open 2025 Prize Money for Alcaraz and Sinner

The total prize money commitment for the 2025 Roland Garros Championships happened to be €56,352,000. This is a 5.21% increase from the prize pot allocated for the tournament in 2024. The men’s and women’s singles champions earn equal prize money at the French Open. The main draw also witnessed a 6.37% rise in terms of earning when compared to the previous year.

Men’s singles champion Carlos Alcaraz will pocket €2,550,000 for defeating Jannik Sinner in the final of Roland Garros. He also gets bragging rights, and the pride of defending the throne he ascended last year. On the other hand, the 23-year-old World No. 1 will amass €1,275,000 for reaching the summit clash. How Many Ranking Points Did the Two Finalists Get?

Alcaraz takes home a jaw-dropping 2,000 points for winning his fifth Grand Slam trophy on Sunday. There is no change in terms of ranking points accumulation when compared to his other majors. Having won the title in 2024 too, the Spaniard will not see a considerable rise or fall in terms of his ATP Ranking numbers. Meanwhile, Sinner earns himself 1,300 points for being crowned the runner-up in Paris. This is an improvement from the 800 semifinal points that he made in 2024.
