PSG vs Atletico Madrid Head-to-Head Record: Stats, History & Latest Results
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign for PSG and Atletico Madrid kicks off with a heavyweight clash as UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain face Atletico Madrid at the iconic Rose Bowl in Los Angeles. Both sides are seeking their first world title, and the stakes are high with a lucrative $125 million on offer for the top-performing European side.
PSG, fresh off a dominant treble-winning season and a historic 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final, are favourites to go deep in this tournament. Luis Enrique’s squad has been in imperious form, but Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, despite another season without silverware, remain dangerous opponents capable of upsetting the odds.

Atletico, who knocked PSG out in the league phase of the Champions League earlier this season, will be eager to replicate that success. With Botafogo and Seattle Sounders also in Group B, this clash could go a long way in shaping the path to the knockout stages.
Taking official competitions into consideration, the head-to-head record between PSG and Atletico Madrid stands at:
The only previous meeting between these two teams came on November 6, 2024, in the Champions League group stage. PSG took the lead through a goal by Warren Zaire-Emery, but Atletico fought back with goals from Nahuel Molina and a stoppage-time winner by Angel Correa to seal a 2-1 away win in Paris.

Luis Enrique’s attacking lineup could be without star forward Ousmane Dembele, who is nursing an injury picked up on international duty. Bradley Barcola is also doubtful, while Gonçalo Ramos is tipped to start alongside Desire Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The squad is otherwise fully fit and focused on adding a fifth trophy this season.
Diego Simeone has a near full-strength squad, with only defender Clément Lenglet listed as doubtful. Antoine Griezmann’s goal drought continues, raising the possibility of Alexander Sørloth starting up front with Julian Alvarez. Jan Oblak and Marcos Llorente are expected to return to the starting XI for this crucial opener.

Both PSG and Atletico Madrid are strong sides. However, just coming after the Champions League win, PSG have more chances of winning this match. Hence, the moneyline odds are less for PSG win, while they are more for either a draw or a win for Atleti.
With both teams strong, there is a bigger chance that the total goals for the match exceeds 2.5 but remain below 3.5. However, if both teams manage to hold their defense, it could be under 2.5 but over 3.5 and the odds will pay out in that case.
