Paris Saint-Germain’s dream 2024–25 campaign is already being etched into the club’s folklore, and it’s far from over. After reaching the Coupe de France Final against Reims and winning the UEFA Champions League, PSG will turn their attention to a potentially perfect finish – winning the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Set to be hosted in the United States, the tournament will bring together the champions of each continent in a historic, expanded 32-team format.

Having already cemented their dominance in France and Europe this season, Luis Enrique’s side will now take on the world’s best in Group D, where they will face Atletico Madrid (Spain), Seattle Sounders FC (USA), and Botafogo (Brazil). With star names like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele in their team, PSG are not just title contenders, they will be the team to beat at the Club World Cup.

1. PSG vs Seattle Sounders FC

PSG’s Club World Cup journey begins with a clash against MLS side Seattle Sounders. The Sounders are currently sixth in the MLS Western Conference with 20 points from 14 matches. Backed by a passionate home crowd at Lumen Field, the Sounders will be eager to make a statement. For PSG, managing the atmosphere and dictating the of tempo of the game will be key. Expect a high-intensity encounter where Luis Enrique’s side will be expected to get the three points.

2. Botafogo vs PSG

Next up for PSG will be Brazilian side Botafogo. Botafogo are currently 8th in the Brazilian Serie A, with 18 points from 11 matches. They have struggled for consistency in their domestic campaign. Still, Brazilian clubs traditionally raise their level in intercontinental competitions. Botafogo’s pressing style could pose challenges to PSG’s midfield. However, this is another match which the French champions will be expected to win fairly easily.

3. Atletico Madrid vs PSG

The final group stage fixture could prove decisive as PSG take on Atletico Madrid in a heavyweight European showdown. Atleti are coming off a strong La Liga campaign, currently sitting third in the standings with 73 points from 37 matches. They will enter the tournament as one of Spain’s three teams alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona. Known for their defensive structure and counter-attacking precision under Diego Simeone, this will be the toughest test for PSG in the group stage. This fixture could well determine the top spot in Group D.
