Oliver Bearman expresses his feelings about the Saudi Arabian GP.
Oliver Bearman is among the better performing rookies in the 2025 season. Bearman joined F1 full-time as a driver for Haas F1. The last time Haas recruited rookies, they had a disaster of a season. But, Bearman has made sure to not let his team down in 2025. Bearman is claiming points on a regular basis alongside his much more experienced teammate, Esteban Ocon. Oliver Bearman has claimed points in three out of four races in the 2025 F1 season.
Oliver Bearman is among the few drivers who debuted in their first race with Ferrari, as a replacement driver. Bearman replaced a hospitalised Carlos Sainz. There was nearly no expectation from the young F2 driver in his first race in F1. However, Bearman not only drove his Ferrari without any incident, he also managed to claim his first points in the race as well.
One for the record books 📚

Bearman’s debut race gave him the reputation that he has in F1 today even as a rookie driver. Here’s what Oliver Bearman had to say about his previous outing to Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
Driving as a substitute drive for Ferrari in 2024, Oliver Bearman went on to finish P7 in the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. His points helped Ferrari mitigate the damage that might’ve occurred to them in the absence of Carlos Sainz. He was congratulated on his achievement by many drivers on the grid. Lewis Hamilton, who would drive for Ferrari in 2025, was among the first drivers to give him a pat on his back for his performance.
"This track will always be quite special to me" 😀

Fast forward to 2025, Oliver Bearman has returned to Jeddah. This time, he is wearing Haas colors. Oliver Bearman was asked by the reporters about his feelings regarding the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend. He had a touching response to the question as he went nostalgic about his experience on the track.
“To come back one year on is a very special feeling. And you know, I always love driving this track. It’s my third time here and I always had decent performances actually. And then, to of course have my debut as well. It means, I think, this track will always be quite special to me. So, I am really happy to be back.”
Bearman does not have a lot to fear in 2025. His team was immensely successful the previous weekend. If Bearman keeps up his pace, he might end up scoring a lot points in his first full-season in F1 at Jeddah. His Haas is the fastest midfield car as per the constructor standings. All that is left for the young rookie is to complete his dream weekend in Jeddah by displaying the consistency needed.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
