Alex Albon Considers the 2025 Season “Exciting” for Himself!

Rohan Singh

Alex Albon talks about his 2025 season in an interview during the Jeddah weekend.

Alex Albon is one of the biggest stories of F1’s midfield. The Thai-British driver was expelled from Red Bull, which many considered was the end of his career. However, Albon returned to F1 in 2022 with Williams Formula 1. Since then, Albon has been the lead driver for the Williams F1 team. Williams has suffered a fall from grace in their recent years in F1. The past three-four years have been particularly harsh for the once world champion team. But Albon has been single handedly carrying the mantle of Williams in F1.

Alex Albon has made a reputation for himself as a regular points finisher for Williams. He has delivered for Williams in clutch situations and whenever his team needed it. There’s no doubt that Williams would be the worst team on the grid if not for Alex Albon’s heroics in their sub-par car.

The 2025 season has been a lot better for both Williams and Alex Albon. Albon started his first race with a P5 finish giving his team a jumpstart. He scored points consecutively in the first three races. It was only in Bahrain that Alex finally succumbed and could not win any points for his team.

Alex Albon Finds the 2025 Season “Most Enjoyable” for Himself!

There’s no doubting the fact that Alex Albon has made sure Williams doesn’t end up in shambles this season. Their newest recruit Carlos Sainz, is still trying to adjust to the car. In such a situation, Alex Albon is the only anchor that Williams can rely on. In not for FIA’s mistake in Bahrain GP Qualifying, Albon might have secured yet other points finish for Williams.

Alex Albon was being interviewed ahead of the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He expressed his feelings about the current season as he contemplated his performances in the first four races.

“There’s a lot of pressure on every lap that you do in the midfield right now and that’s exciting. And it feels like every race you go in not knowing where you are going to come out. And yeah…. it’s been the most enjoyable so far… season of Formula 1 for me.”

Albon might be confident about his car and performances in 2025. But the other teams have finally started catching up. Haas has already overtaken Williams with consistent finishes. Williams need the talents of their second driver urgently if they do not want to lag behind. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025 is an important for both Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz. It will also help the team prioritise the drivers for upgrades in the upcoming races.
