Novak Djokovic Marches On at Wimbledon as Son Stefan Steals the Show with Starry Autograph Hunt

As Novak Djokovic chases history at Wimbledon, his son Stefan is on a mission of his own, collecting autographs.

Novak Djokovic advanced to the Wimbledon 2025 quarterfinals with a four-set win over Alex de Minaur on Monday, but the spotlight briefly shifted to his son, Stefan, who wore a cap filled with several autographs. From top-ranked Jannik Sinner to Aryna Sabalenka, Stefan’s hat is quickly becoming a Grand Slam keepsake, just missing one major name, his father, Novak himself.

Djokovic Jr. Hits with Cobolli Ahead of Quarterfinal Clash

After the match, Djokovic was asked about the growing collection of autographs visible on Stefan’s hat in the player box. “It was himself independently of me approaching and asking for autographs,” Djokovic said. “I think I might have asked only Jannik [Sinner] or someone, but everyone else he’s approached. He’s over the moon. Obviously, he loves tennis.”

Among the signatures are those of Taylor Fritz, Grigor Dimitrov, and Flavio Cobolli, Djokovic’s next opponent. In fact, Stefan even got a chance to hit with the young Italian at the All England Club earlier in the week.

“He even got a chance to play with Cobolli, my next opponent. They hit a few days ago. They played some points,” Djokovic revealed. “Of course, I’ll have a conversation with my son and see what he has noticed in the game of Cobolli the other day,” he smiled as he added.

The most curious omission from Stefan’s collection was that “he has everyone’s signature, except mine,” Djokovic humorously said. “But that’s OK, I’ll accept that.”

Now into his 15th Wimbledon quarterfinal, Djokovic is chasing a record-tying eighth title at SW19. He’ll face Cobolli on Wednesday, a player he handily defeated 6-1, 6-2 in their only previous meeting last year in Shanghai.

My journey into sports media began far from the field, rooted in the arts and sciences. Funny enough, I didn’t grow up a sports fan; I used to see it all as just noise. But a fateful writing job introduced me to the world of sports, and what began as a gig quickly became a passion. I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
