Cody Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, and Damian Priest in a fatal four-way to reach the Semi-finals and then defeated Jey Uso to reach the finals.

Randy Orton faced Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Aleister Black in a fatal four-way. He emerged victorious and then defeated Sami Zayn in the Semifinals to reach the finals of the King of the Ring tournament. This was the first time that Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes faced each other in 12 years.

Cody Rhodes Wins The King of The Ring Tournament

Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton in a hard-fought match to win the King of the Ring tournament. He will now face the WWE Undisputed Champion at SummerSlam 2025. Their match went to the wire and had numerous near-falls. Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes know each other so well and have had a legacy together.

Randy Orton injured his lower back during the initial part of the match when he delivered a vertical suplex to Cody Rhodes from the third rope. Cody Rhodes went after the injured back of Randy Orton. Randy Orton faced back pain even while attacking Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes delivered to Cody Cutters, but Randy Orton kicked out. He kicked out of a Cross Rhodes as well.

Randy Orton delivered a vicious RKO, but it wasn’t enough to keep Cody Rhodes down. He then went for a Punt Kick but hesitated slightly, and Cody Rhodes got the opportunity to apply a figure 8. Randy counted a Cody Cutter with another RKO, but Cody Rhodes kicked out again. He then exposed a turn buckle, but Cody pushed Randy, and he injured his ribs. Cody followed it up with Cross Rhodes to win the match.
