Rangers Head Coach Peter Laviolette Under Pressure Amid Team's Struggles
The New York Rangers are in a tough situation. Beginning the 2024-25 season with a record of 12-4-1 and appearing to be a strong candidate for the President’s Trophy, the Blueshirts have dropped six out of seven games since November 21.
With that, the team has been removed from a top-three position in the Metropolitan Division; all six losses have occurred in regulation. Head coach Peter Laviolette’s position could be jeopardized as the difficulties persist.
Currently 13-10-1 and struggling to remain competitive in the Eastern Conference, the Rangers require some form of adjustment. However, it remains uncertain if it will occur on the ice or from behind the bench.

If New York ultimately decides to change coaches, former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville might be a candidate to return after two years off from the sport.
Quenneville has a track record of success in the NHL, but his eventual comeback is sure to elicit mixed responses from the hockey community.
No matter which direction Drury takes, the Rangers executive appears prepared to make significant changes, particularly following a harsh 5-1 defeat to the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden on Monday evening.
nhl I’ve always loved writing and storytelling, and hockey gives me a perfect stage for endless stories to tell. Whether it’s breaking down a game, analyzing a big trade, or capturing the emotions on the ice, I bring the NHL to life through words. So what’s the best part you ask? Watching the action unfold and turning it into something fans can connect with. To my readers: Hockey is more than just a game—it’s the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that make us jump off our seats. So, keep cheering, keep debating, and never stop loving the madness of the sport!
