The NFL has adjusted the kickoff times for two Week 8 games, offering fans an exciting Sunday lineup on CBS with the Bears and Eagles in key matchups.
The NFL has started adjusting the schedule, and the Week 8 matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles is one of the games affected.
Although the Bengals and Eagles were originally set to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET in Week 8, the NFL has shifted the game to a 1:00 p.m. time slot.
This change was made to accommodate the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears, whose game will now take place at 4:25 p.m. ET instead of 1:00 p.m.
💪 news for Week 8:
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 15, 2024
— #Eagles vs #Bengals will now be at 1 pm, going to 70% of the country. Much greater distribution for the white out.
— #Bears vs #Commanders is now at 4:25.. and word is Jim Nantz & Tony Romo will call it for CBS. 👀
— CBS also has #Chiefs/#Raiders at 4:25.
Given the Bengals’ 2-4 start to the season, it makes sense that the NFL opted to give Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels more attention in the later slot.
The Bengals have managed to win two of their last three games, with their only loss in that period coming in an overtime showdown against the Baltimore Ravens.
For now, the Bengals are focusing on their Week 7 road game against the Cleveland Browns (1-5), which also kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET.

I write about sports because, well, it brings in the big bucks! I’m not some lifelong analyst or stats guru, truth being told, you’ve probably never heard of me!—I just know how to research, write, and make things sound good. That’s the job!
Got into sports media the same way most people do: by (fortunate) accident. Started with SEO writing, took on a few sports gigs, and now here we are! I cover games, trades, player drama—whatever needs words.
Favorite part? The chaos. One day it’s a blockbuster trade, the next it’s a goat running onto the field. Never boring.
Message to readers: If you want deep analysis, there are people for that. If you want sharp, no-BS writing that actually makes sense, stick around.
