One of the top quarterback prospects of the class, Jalen Milroe from the Alabama Crimson Tide, has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
The starting quarterback for the University of Alabama, Jalen Milroe, officially announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft this Thursday.
Like Georgia’s QB Carson Beck, Milroe made the announcement via his Instagram account. In his post, he expressed gratitude to legendary coach Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer, who coached him this season. He also thanked his teammates, fans, and the “Alabama family.”
As one of the leading prospects in a relatively weak quarterback class, Jalen Milroe passed for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2024.
Additionally, he rushed for 726 yards and scored 20 touchdowns on the ground, showcasing his standout dual-threat ability. Combining his performance from the previous season as a starter, Milroe accounted for 39 passing touchdowns and 32 rushing touchdowns.
However, the young quarterback’s college career ended on a sour note with a poor performance against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Plagued by three turnovers, pocket struggles, an ineffective rushing game, and inaccurate passes, he was marked as the quarterback responsible for Alabama’s first season with fewer than 10 wins in the past 17 years.
Finally, Jalen Milroe was awarded the William V. Campbell Trophy this season, which recognizes the player who best demonstrates a combination of academic excellence, community service, and on-field performance.
