Stephen Curry continued his winning run at MSG as Golden State Warriors beat the New York Knicks. Curry hasn’t lost a game at Madison Square Garden since 2012. The veteran star scored 28 points and nine assists. Warriors are 9-1 with Butler and 3-1 on their current five-game trip.
Jimmy Butler and Brandin Podziemski chipped in with 19 points apiece. Draymond Green scored eight points, nine rebounds and eight assists on his 35th birthday. OG Anunoby led the Knicks with 29 points and Jalen Brunson added 25. New York played without Karl-Anthony Towns.
The NBA-leaders Cleveland Cavaliers won their 11th straight game with a 139-117 win over Chicago Bulls. Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points. Jarrett Allen had 25 points and 17 rebounds. Darius Garland chipped in with 19 points on 7-of-22 shooting. This is the third double-digit winning streak for the Cavaliers.
Cavs made a routine win after overcoming a 15-point deficit. Coby White was top performer for the Bulls with 25 points. Talen Horton-Tucker added a season-high 22 and Zach Collins dropped 20.
The fourth quarter outburst helped Minnesota Timberwolves to beat the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers. Anthony Edwards scored 18 points and Naz Reid added 23. Julius Randle chipped in with 16 points in his second matchup after missing 13 games with a groin strain. Nickeil Alexander-Walker dropped 20 points off the bench.
Minnesota sparked a 25-9 run in the beginning of the fourth quarter to take full control. Paul George scored just seven points on his return after groin soreness. Quentin Grimes scored 30 points, and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 24 for the 76ers, who are 2-13 through last 15.
The Phoenix Suns overcame a 23-point deficit to beat the LA Clippers. Kevin Durant scored 34 points before exchanging words with Mike Budenholzer. Devin Booker added 17 points, and Gillespie had 10 on 4-of-6 shooting.
The comeback of the Suns started in the late third quarter and they outscored the Clippers 43-22 in the final period. Nick Richards contributed16 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Ivica Zubac led the Clippers with a career-high 35 points, 10 rebounds on 15-of-19 shooting. Kawhi Leonard and James Harden each scored 21.
Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to the season-best seven games with a comfortable victory over New Orleans Pelicans. LeBron James scored 34 points and also became the first player to record 50,000 NBA career points.
Luka Doncic dropped 30 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds. Jaxson Hayes had a season-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura missed second straight game due to injury. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 37 points and Trey Murphy III added 19. Bronny James also got a chance to play in the final four minutes.
