The Warriors-Timberwolves series is currently tied 1-1.
The Golden State Warriors will welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday, May 10. The Wolves will head into the game to secure the upper hand by extending their winning streak to 2-1. Earlier in Game 1, the Warriors stole home court advantage from the Wolves and handed them a 99-88 defeat.
However, Game 2 saw the Timberwolves bouncing back and registering a blowout 117-93 win. The Wolves capitalized on Stephen Curry’s absence and Julius Randle dropped 24 points, had seven rebounds, and 11 assists. The victory helped Minnesota level the series. Apart from him, Anthony Edwards and Nickeil Alexander-Walker dropped 20 points apiece for the winners.
The Warriors were in visible struggle as Jonathan Kuminga’s 18 points, five rebounds, and one rebound emerged as their leading performance. Jimmy Butler tallied 17 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while Buddy Hield and Trayce Jackson-Davis poured in 15 points each.
As action shifts to San Francisco for Game 3 and Game 4, the Warriors would aim to bounce back and secure the lead. However, things aren’t going to get easy for them considering Curry’s injury. Having said that, let’s see which players have made it to the injury reports for both teams ahead of the crucial match-up.
