LaMelo Ball paced the Hornets with 26 points and nine rebounds. With 7 seconds to play, the referee made a mistake which allowed Ron Holland two free throws against Hornets. With a 115-114 loss, the Bucks dropped their sixth straight game on the road to fall 4-9. Meanwhile, the Hornets improved to 5-7 and ended 7-game losing streak.
Toronto Raptors continued their worst form to face their 12th loss of the season as the Celtics held the nerves in overtime. Each quarter was a cliffhanger as the advantage didn’t cross two points in any quarter throughout the game. Tatum led the charge with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. RJ Barrett dropped a triple-double for the Raptors with 25 points. 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. The Celtics extended their run to 4 matches (excluding the NBA Cup) in the regular season.
Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning run to five matches with a comprehensive win over the Pelicans. Anthony Davis notched up 31 points and 14 rebounds while LeBron James hit 21 points with a pair of pivotal 3-pointers in the final minutes. Dalton Knecht dropped five 3s to finish with a career-high 27 points. The rookie was 10-of-17 on field goals and 5-of-10 from three-point range. Brandon Ingram paced the Pelicans with a 32-point performance. The Lakers outscored New Orleans in the paint, 52-40 to post 9-4 in the West.

Sochan’s absence is haunting the Spurs as they slipped to 6-8 with a 110-93 loss against the Mavericks. Wembanyama-less Spurs were clueless throughout the game. Dončić scored 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Kyrie Irving and Daniel Goffard added 22 points each as the Mavericks snapped a 4-game losing streak. Zach Collins delivered in place of the Wembanyama with 20 points and six rebounds. Dallas outscored the Spurs 38-18 in the third quarter to put the final nail in the coffin.
A season-high 49 points from De’Aaron Fox led the Sacramento Kings to a 121-117 victory over the Utah Jazz. He was hitting 16 of 30 from the field and making 14 of 19 free throws to set up another franchise record. Kevin Huerter chipped in 18 points and Trey Lyles added 17 for the Kings. Lauri Markkanen posted 25 points for the Jazz in the loss. Jazz had a 10-3 run in the 3rd quarter to take a 4-point advantage before the final quarter. The Kings regained the lead through McLaughlin’s three-pointer with a minute left in the game.
