Here’s the NBA Daily Recap for Feb. 10, 2025, where we witnessed ten matchups. Top-seeded teams were in action and we experienced some terrific performances on the first day of the All-Star week.

From the Kings snatching a win against the Mavericks in overtime to the Lakers celebrating a routing win over the Jazz on Luka Doncic’s debut, let’s go through the key highlights from the NBA action on Monday.

Cavaliers 128-107 Timberwolves

The East-leading Cleveland Cavaliers scored the first 16 points in the game and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-107. Evan Mobley added 28 points, and Donovan Mitchell had 23 in the win. De’Andre Hunter started his debut in place of Max Strus and finished with 12 points. All-Star Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 44 points. Minnesota was held for just 12 points in the first quarter and missed its first 16 shots. Caves now improved too 25-4 at home and the Timberwolves ended their three-game winning streak.

Heat 85-103 Celtics

Jayson Tatum scored 33 points and Boston Celtics overcame the short-handed Miami Heat. Kristaps Porzingis had 17 points and Al Horford had 16. Sam Hauser dropped 15 points and Derrick White contributed 13 for the Celtics. Bam Adebayo led Miami with 22 points and 12 rebounds. The Heat were playing without Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. due to illness. Andrew Wiggins scored 11 points in his Miami debut. The Heat didn’t cross 100 point mark for the fifth straight game against the Celtics.

Bucks 111-125 Warriors

Stephen Curry posted a season-high 38 points as the Golden State Warriors pulled off a comeback in the fourth quarter to beat the Milwaukee Bucks. Jimmy Butler, who was playing his second game for the Warriors, added 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Buddy Hield had 16 points, while Quinten Post and Moses Moody dropped 13 each. Bucks are 5-5 without their key player, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Damian Lillard led the Bucks with 38 points. Kyle Kuzma scored 21 in his second game with Milwaukee and Taurean Prince had 19.

Mavericks 128-129 Kings (OT)

DeMar DeRozan’s game-winner just before the buzzer assured an overtime win for the Sacramento Kings over the short-handed Dallas Mavericks. DeRozan scored a season-high 42 points in the win. Zach LaVine and Malik Monk scored 17 points apiece for the Kings. Domantas Sabonis chipped in with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Daniel Gafford also walked back to the locker room due to injury, but Dallas maintained the lead before the Kings pulled off a comeback in overtime. Kyrie Irving, who replaced Anthony Davis for All-Star Game, scored 30 points for the Mavericks.

Nuggets 146-117 Trail Blazers

Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to the season-best seven games, courtesy of Nikola Jokic’s 40-point performance. Jamal Murray added 17 points and eight assists. Christian Braun had 26 points while Julian Strawther chipped in with 18. Michael Porter Jr. missed the second straight game due to hamstring injury. Donovan Clingan scored a career-high 21 points for Portland, who played without Jerami Grant, Kris Murray and Robert Williams III. Dalano Banton added 22 points in the Blazers’ second straight loss.

Lakers 132-113 Jazz

The Los Angeles Lakers routed the Utah Jazz for their sixth straight win on Luka Doncic’s debut. The five-time All-Star guard scored 14 points in 24 minutes and was on minutes restriction. Doncic sat down with 3:07 left in the third quarter. LeBron James scored a team-high 24 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Austin Reaves, who dropped a career-high in the last game, added 22 in the win. Lauri Markkanen and John Collins scored 17 points apiece for the Jazz, who lost nine straight games. Both teams will meet again in the final game of their regular-season series.
