Breaking down three NBA best props of the day for December 12.
An NBA seven-game slate for Friday, December 12, delivers regular-season fixtures across the league. The night features plenty of exciting matchups to attack including a Western Conference matchup featuring the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the East, we will see the table-toppers Detroit Pistons clashing against the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers locking horns with the Indiana Pacers. There is so much at stake for the bettors, and here, we are breaking down three NBA best props of the day for Friday.
As the Golden State Warriors gear up to lock horns with the Minnesota Timberwolves, fans can expect Stephen Curry to take on the court during the game. Curry, regarded as the greatest shooter, is returning after missing five games due to a quad contusion. He is averaging 4.7 3 PM this season, and leading the league in this category. In the last game that he played before missing significant time, Curry was limited to 2-of-9 threes. However, before that, he hit over four threes in four of the last five games.
However, considering the latest update shared by him about the injury stating that there is still some soreness, we cannot expect the 11-time All-Star to get to the business right on Friday. However, the Warriors not only hold homecourt advantage on Friday, and their rivals have a lower defensive rate, Curry could hit five threes or more.
Donovan Mitchell is one of the top scorers in the league with an average of 30.5 points per game. Mitchell is shooting 50.2% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range, while contributing 4.8 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game. In the last two games, Mitchell was restricted to under 30 points, but scored in the 30s against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Indiana Pacers.
In addition to it, he is averaging 30.0 points per game while shooting 49.2% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range. Considering that the Wizards have the worst defensive rating in the league, Mitchell scoring over 31 points looks like a safe bet.
Cade Cunningham is leading the Detroit Pistons across a couple of statistical categories including scoring and assists. He is averaging 27.5 points, 9.3 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game. Cunningham is shooting 45.2% from the field and 29.9% from the deep. In the last five games, he recorded two games with 29 points and has had one 23-point game. This is not it, but the 2005 All-Star maintains an average of 28.1 points per game at home this season. Considering these stats as well as the Hawks’ defensive rate, 113.3, we can expect Cunningham to score 27 points or more on Friday.
