Max Holloway throws his support behind this fighter for the legendary Bruce Buffer intro, an electrifying moment in the making!
Bruce Buffer’s booming voice has become legendary in the UFC, making fighters feel like superheroes. For over 25 years, his introductions have given goosebumps to both fighters and fans. There is something extra special when Bruce Buffer gives a fighter his signature “The One and Only” introduction. It is like getting knighted in the octagon.
Only Jon Jones and Conor McGregor have ever received this rare honor, making it more exclusive than most championship belts. Now, Max Holloway thinks it’s time to add another name to this ultra-exclusive club!

Max Holloway believes Alex Pereira deserves Buffer’s golden phrase, and he might be onto something. Pereira has blazed through the UFC like a Brazilian tornado, winning titles in two weight classes. The guy started as a kickboxer, switched to MMA, and now he is running through everyone. His last four fights have been a masterclass in violence, knocking out everyone in his path.
“I think Bruce Buffer should announce Alex Pereira as ‘The One, The Only.’He is one of the mans who deserves it,” said Holloway via his YouTube channel.

Being called “The One and Only” by Bruce Buffer isn’t just some fancy introduction. Jones and McGregor earned it by dominating their division and having heavy crowd support respectively, and becoming faces of the sport. Alex Pereira is doing something different. He is hopping weight classes and still winning. He is writing his own chapter in the UFC history book, and Holloway wants Buffer to add the perfect soundtrack to it!
The road to this point hasn’t been easy for Alex Pereira. He jumped from middleweight to light heavyweight. His only UFC loss came against Israel Adesanya, but he bounced back harder and has been knocking out people left and right. Now he has got Magomed Ankalaev lined up for UFC 313, and the stakes just keep getting higher.
Currently ranked as the world’s number two pound-for-pound fighter, Pereira’s stock keeps rising. Some fans question his resume at light heavyweight, but they said the same things about his middleweight run.
If he keeps winning, especially against a wrestler like Ankalaev, Bruce Buffer might just have to clear his throat and add a third name to his most prestigious introduction. And hearing Bruce Buffer roll those R’s in “Pereiraaa” with “The One and Only” would be something special!
