Brazilian Forward Agrees to Five-Year Contract As United Activate Release Clause.

Cunha is set to become the first big signing under new manager Ruben Amorim. After Eric Ten Hag’s dismissal in the middle of last season, United brought in Sporting manager Amorim. The Portuguese manager signed only Patrick Dorgu in the winter transfer market last season.

However, now the dynamics have shifted. United lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur and will be out of any European competition next season. Reports claim Man United have matched the release clause of the 25-year-old midfielder.

The Red Devils are set to shell out £62.5 million to bring in the Samba midfield maestro to Old Trafford. Cunha had a brilliant season for the Wolves, where he notched up 16 goals and 4 assists in his 31 league appearances. His inclusion in the side will allow Captain Bruno Fernandes to operate more freely.

Meanwhile, the attacking duties will also be shared after the arrival of the Brazilian star. Reports further claim that Cunha is likely to be given the iconic number 10 jersey.
