Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai countered each other moves well initially. Neither of them wanted to give their opponent an initial advantage. The match went to near stalemate many times but neither of them wanted to give up early. Lyria Valkyria delivered a Vertical Suplex to Dakota Kai outside the ring and both superstars landed badly on their back. Lyra Valkyria then performed a leg drop but it wasn’t enough to keep Dakota Kai down.
Dakota Kai retaliated with a Stomp to Valkyria followed by GTK (Go to Kick) but the latter rolled out of the ring preventing Dakota from pinning her. Dakota Kai pushed Lyra Valkyria inside the ring and set up to finish the game with a running kick. Lyra Valkyria moved out of harm’s way and performed a Sling Blade followed by a Night Wing. She pinned Dakota Kai to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
