Aiming to Make History as France’s Most Successful Club

Luis Enrique, brimming with confidence after PSG’s victory over Real Madrid, delivered a bold vision for his team’s future as he said, “We are one club away from making history, becoming the only French team to ever win every title.” Underscoring his belief in PSG’s potential to etch their name in football history. Emphasising their dominance, he added, “We’re the team that scores the most, and one of the teams that concede the least. We are exceptional.”

Enrique also showed confidence that PSG will be a better side in the coming season. Expressing he’ll want to take more authority without exceptions, the Spanish manager told the media,

“I have zero doubts that we will improve next year. The fact that we have a player who moves wherever he wants means that I don’t control some situations. Next year, I will control absolutely everything. No exceptions.”

PSG manager after beating Xabi Alonso and co 4-0 demanded patience for Alonso as the newly appointed manager. Expressing the project is just at the beginning, Enrique said about Alonso: “Xabi Alonso does not need to prove anything. He needs a pre-season. His project just started. What can you take from this? I have been working on this for 2 years, you cannot compare.”

PSG will head to their first Club World Cup final as Chelsea waits for them. Aiming to be the first French side to lift the trophy, the winner will also become the first team to lift this reformed FIFA tournament. The stage is set as the final at MetLife Stadium between Chelsea and PSG will take place on July 13, 2025.
