Lucas Vazquez Set to Leave Real Madrid as Free Agent This Summer

Lucas Vazquez’s long association with Real Madrid is set to come to an end after 2024-25 season, with reports confirming that the Spanish right-back will leave the club as a free agent. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish right-back has been informed by the club that no new contract will be offered. As a result, he will move on following the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The 32-year-old has been a loyal servant for Los Blancos, being a reliable player capable of operating on both flanks. Since emerging from the club’s youth ranks, Vazquez has made over 300 appearances and has been part of a trophy-laden era, winning multiple Champions League and La Liga titles. While his role in the squad has diminished in recent seasons, Vazquez’s professionalism and tactical adaptability have earned him respect within the club.

The decision to part ways with Vazquez comes as Real Madrid prepare to welcome Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.
