Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to defend their World Tag Team Championship against these worthy opponents at WrestleMania 41

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez got their opponent for WrestleMania via a Gauntlet tag team match.

Friday Night SmackDown hosted a gauntlet tag team match today, the winner of which would get the tag team title opportunity at WrestleMania. Six teams participated in the gauntlet tag team match winner of which, would face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the World Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 41.

The match started with the team of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark going against Bayley and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria. The team of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark dominated most of the match but Lyra Valkyria showed her agility when he converted Shayna’s move to a pin attempt and won the match.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez will face Lyra Valkyria and Bayley at WrestleMania

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley had to face Natalya and Maxxine Dupri next. Natalya dominated the match but the table turned when Maxxine Dupri got the tag. Maxxine showed some incredible moves but in an attempt to impress Natalya, she tried her Sharpshooter on Bayley who countered it with an inside cradle pin attempt and won the match.

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley’s misery didn’t end there as they had to compete against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. They were again assaulted by the tag team of Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. It seemed that Bayley and Lyra wouldn’t be able to go any further but Lyra countered Katana Chance’s moves and delivered a Nightwing to win the match.

An already exhausted Bayley now had to face Michin and B-Fab. It seemed that the match gonna be over soon as Bayley and Lyra were subjected to insane brutality already in the match. Bayley somehow gathered her strength and got the better of B-Fab with a Rose Plant to advance further. They faced Secret Hervice next but the brutality had taken a toll on their bodies.

They were somehow managing to kick out of the assault from Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. Bayley had been part of these kinds of matches so often in her career. She utilized her window of opportunities when her opponents were overconfident and delivered a Rose Plant to Alba Fyre. Lyra followed it up with a leg drop from the third rope to win the match. They will now face Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 41.
