The seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, will visit Spanish Grand Prix with many issues to solve. Over the course of the season, Hamilton’s start at Ferrari went from bad to worse. Recently, the Briton has started picking his pace in the Ferrari. Hamilton drove his car to a good fourth place finish in Monaco GP. Although, it seems that his troubles aren’t going to be over soon.

As always, Hamilton is facing new set of rumors ahead of the Spanish GP. His radio with race engineer, Riccardo Adami during Monaco GP did not click well with media. Ferrari boss, Fred Vasseur had to intervene and clarify the situation for the team. Hamilton’s latest session in Spanish Grand Prix was hit with disappointment. He was unable to clinch a top-10 finish in the Free Practice 2.

Lewis Hamilton is the only winner of the Spanish GP alongside Max Verstappen for the past decade. It seems that this weekend won’t add up to his wins with the pace he is showing in the Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton Talks About Struggles with Pace

Hamilton was off the pace in FP2 which took him out of top-10. It was a stark contrast to his top-3 finish in FP1, which gave hope that he is ready to make progress from Monaco. Hamilton went through a frustrating ordeal. He did like the day after claiming a perfect weather at the a track which he likes.

Lewis Hamilton opened up about setup struggles to the media after his practice sessions ended. He thinks that the team has more pace to unlock from the car before the qualifying sessions starts in Spain.

“But you arrive on Friday and are hoping for a good day, and it doesn’t go well. Then you have a weekend in Monaco, where suddenly the car feels great. Honestly, I thought the car was going to be good today. It wasn’t too bad in P1, but P2 was much worse. Naturally, that’s frustrating for everyone, but we had some problems, which meant we were losing some downforce.”

Lewis Hamilton agrees that he isn’t exactly motivating the team. Although, the Briton is hopeful that they will fix the minor troubles and claim a better weekend. Hamilton is yet to finish of podium for Ferrari. His teammate is also in a similar condition during the weekend. Will this weekend be his breakthrough finally?
