The stakes are going to be high in Barcelona this weekend. Formula 1 is going to host the Spanish GP at Barcelona from May 30-June 1, 2025. Today is going to be the qualifying session for the race. It is going to proceed the FP3 session at the track. The qualifying session on Saturday will decide the starting grid for tomorrow’s race.

Almost every team is bringing a major upgrade to Barcelona before the race. They intend to utilise the hours of testing time at the track to improve their 2025 cars. Formula 1’s new technical directive will also playa major part in the race this weekend. The new regulations are going to decrease the performance gap among the top cars and make racing even more intense.

When Does Spanish GP Qualifying Start Today?

The qualifying session will take place from 4:00 PM track time today. The qualifying session will be one hour long. F1 qualifying is going to be of three stages. After every stage the bottom five drivers will be eliminated. The final stage will decide the pole position winner for the race.

Barcelona’s long straight before the Turn-1 will favor the driver on pole. A good start from the front of the grid will give them an early gap to hold on to.
